I recently got the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti in the mail and I’ve had it in my gaming desktop for about two days now. I was replacing my older 550Ti and at the time I bought it, it was on sale for $150. This is a great budget card for gaming. I haven’t pushed it so far with any type of graphically intensive games, but I have played Diablo 3, World of Warcraft, and Outlast on it. The card is really working well and I expect a few years to come out of it. The card is actually still $150 and you can look at it here. I should probably try out Skyrim on ultra with a ton of add-ons to really push it. Can anyone think of other games that would help test out my card?
Another thing I bought from Amazon recently was the trade paperback “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” I plan to read this pretty soon so it can be fresh in my mind when the movie comes out. I can’t wait to point out all the differences between the book and the movie. Since I started making YouTube videos last week, I decided I’m going to do video reviews on trade paperbacks and other short runs of comics. I’ll be doing a video review before the movie comes out and one after to compare the two.
Other fun stuff is the PlayStation Golden Week Sale! I’m excited about this one and I’ve already bought everything I want from it. There are a bunch of Japanese-made games for up to %50 off this week for PS3 and Vita. So far I bought Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, and Soul Calibur V. Now it’s just going to take me a month to download all of these games. I got them all for $42 and if you have a PlayStation Plus account, you can get up to %75 off.
A couple days ago, I said I was going back to school for Network Administration. I talked to an adviser on Monday to sign up for classes for the Summer term. Basically what I signed up for was Network+ and Security+. I don’t know if it was a good idea to sign up for both of these at the same time, but time will tell. I start class on May 18th. I’m a little nervous about the time commitment, but it’s something I need to do.
That’s about all I’ve got going on right now. I’m still streaming off an on, so you can follow me on Twitter to find out when. Other than that, it looks like I’ll be writing the rest of the night!
