I feel like I’ve been a little busy lately. I’m still just as obsessed as ever with Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. I’m not only working on getting my Paragon level up, but also getting my Witch Doctor and Demon Hunter to max level too. I’m going to put Diablo 3 on hold for just a little bit, though. The Wolf Among Us Episode 3 just came out recently, so I’m going to spend a day playing and reviewing it. Okay, it’s not going to take a whole day. Another game I’ve been playing off and on is Goat Simulator. If I wrote a review, I don’t think I could do the game justice. I’ll try anyway though.
Game of Thrones just came back on last Sunday, and I haven’t seen last night’s episode yet. So please, no spoilers. I was excited to hear that Loot Crate is doing a dragon theme crate this month. I did suggest doing a fantasy theme in one of their surveys, just wish I had screen-shotted it though. Oh well, they can have my idea. I hope they have Skyrim-related things in the Loot Crate as well as Game of Thrones.
In Marvel news, the new Captain America movie has been doing well in theaters. I saw it last week and I’m considering it my new favorite Marvel movie. There was just so much I loved that I can’t even keep it all straight. If you’re one of the few who enjoy Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., keeping up with the show is finally paying off. Last week’s episode picks up where Captain America left off.
Pax East was this week! Of course I wasn’t able to go, but I did keep up with all the news. One of my favorite announcements was a new Civilization game called Civilization: Beyond Earth. This game is going to be similar gameplay to Civ 5, but it will take place on an alien planet. I’m interested to see how humans can colonize another planet and how they’ll have to adapt to the atmosphere. Also, I wonder if there’s an alien equivalent to Montezuma. Also, Harmonix announced that they would like to eventually make Rock Band and Dance Central for the new consoles. Currently, they’re working on a game called Chroma, which will be a free to play FPS. According to the trailer it’s somehow a rhythm game too. And in other Pax news, there will be another yearly gaming convention called Pax South, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas. When I first saw the headline, I was hoping they meant the actual South, and not just the southern part of the country. Having Pax South in Nashville, Tennessee would be a dream come true, because we all know it’s stupid to dream of a Pax Kentucky. The first Pax South will debut at the end of January 2015, coincidentally my birthday weekend.
Since it’s Monday, I’ve got to hurry up and read some comics before Wednesday. What I’m excited to read from last week’s releases are Batman Eternal and Deadpool 27. I know literally nothing about Batman Eternal so far. I haven’t looked up anything about it because I don’t want spoilers. I know that this past week’s issue of Deadpool will feature his wedding. I have a feeling it will be a lot of awkwardness. Other than that, I’ll be scrambling to read the rest of the Marvel releases. DC, not so much. I need my faith restored, hopefully by Batman Eternal. But since I love the DC characters as much as the Marvel ones, I plan on going back and just reading pre-New 52 issues. I’ve also heard that Lumberjanes #1 from BOOM! Studios is great for people who like Adventure Time.
That’s about all the news I have for now. The weather is great and I’m completely over being sick all the time. I even walked the park today. I’m planning on not oversleeping today and getting up early to get a lot of major writing done. So, keep checking back for more!
