The new expansion for World of Warcraft, Warlords of Draenor, is available for pre-order today on Battle.net.
If you pre-order Warlords of Draenor, you get a free level 90 boost that you can use today. It is good for one character. If that character is over level 60, you can get your professions to max level as well. If you would like to boost more characters to level 90, you can pay $60 in the in-game store instead of pre-ordering extra game codes.
The Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99 USD) includes the Dread Raven mount and matching Dread Hatchling pet, two Starcraft 2 portraits, and a Warsong Pennant for Diablo 3. The Standard Edition is $49.99 USD and Blizzard expects a release date on or before December 20, 2014.
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the instant level 90 boost. Some are saying it’s not fair because they put a lot of time and effort into their level 90 characters. Others are saying dungeon and raid groups will be full of players that don’t know how to play the class they chose.
How do you feel about the instant level 90 boost? Let us know in the comments below.
Admittedly, it’s things like the level 90 instant boost that I stopped playing WoW completely. I adored WoW, too. I still have my Tauren Shaman figure (Still in its box) and I still have my (now very large) WoW hoodie. I was obsessed! It was the game to end all games, for me.
But then, they changed. They started to give things away. Epics were just “hyped rare items” and bosses were being dropped in Pick up Groups. PuGs for crying out loud!! When I saw Arthas, a character with great history, just downed to a PuG… I just felt sad. Very sad… The simplicity has been the death knell for WoW for me… And it’s a darn shame. I would still play ’til this day, if it wasn’t for the changes.
I proudly played from 2005 until 2010. The nostalgia keeps making me think “Go back” – But then my sense says: “Don’t.” It’s not the game you used to know” ;__; All things change – For me, however, it changed in the wrong ways.
