Episode 2 of The Wolf Among Us was released at the beginning of the month and I just got around to playing it. This game is definitely full of “oh shit!” moments. I really can’t do much of a review of it for two reasons. For one, “Smoke and Mirrors” is less than an hour long and two, I’m just not pro enough to fill up a good review on it. Even though I finished it in 53 minutes according to Steam, it is well worth playing. The first episode, “Faith,” ends in a major cliffhanger, as does “Smoke and Mirrors.” Episode 2 has a lot less quick time events and is really just story driven. I guess you can call it a new feature, but this time you can connect clues and make deductions. I felt a lot like Sherlock, in a good way.
I was surprised when it ended, because it didn’t seem like I had been playing for very long. I absolutely can’t wait to play episode three. I really can’t say much about it because I don’t want to give away what happens. In the words of The Dude, “There are some new things that have come to light. A lot of ins and outs and what have yous.”
If you’ve had no idea what I was talking about this whole time, you can check out my very pro review of Episode 1 on Real Otaku Gamer.
