It’s time for the annual Steam Holiday Sale! It’s strange, because it seems like we just had the Steam Fall/Black Friday Sale, but I didn’t buy anything then. I was waiting for this sale to finish out my PC game collection. So far, I bought The Walking Dead, The Witcher 2, Sleeping Dogs Collection, The Wolf Among Us, Final Fantasy VIII, DuckTales Remastered, Rogue Legacy, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, and Fez. When I list it out like that, it seems like a scary huge amount. I think the most I’ve spent on any one game was The Wolf Among Us for $16. Everything else was mostly $5 and under. I’m really excited to start playing these games, especially The Wolf Among Us and Final Fantasy VIII.
This Steam Sale will last until January 3rd and of course, you can earn Steam badges and level up your account. You get a cute little game themed snow globe for every $10 you spend or for every three times you vote on a Community Choice sale item. So far, I have multiples for Snow Globes 2-9 but I’m missing #1 and #10, or else I would get the 100 XP badge.
Steam is alerting me that I have spent approximately $122.93 since the sale began on the 19th. That’s a little depressing, so I guess I’ll have to stop buying for now, until a really awesome sale happens. What is everyone else getting this year?
