I feel really bad I haven’t been posting much lately, but I haven’t been doing much to write about. I had a pretty bad work week that went from Thursday to Saturday. Thankfully, I’ve had Sunday and Monday off and Tuesday will be my last day off. I’m trying to sleep as little as possible so I can do really fun stuff until I have to work again. I’m up this late because I work night shift, and I’ve been working it for well over a year, so I have a hard time sleeping at night. I’m trying to sleep now though, because I’m going to spend the day with my parents tomorrow and catch up with them.
I’ve been kicking some ideas around in my head for this blog, life in general, and other projects I’d like to work on. First of all, for the blog I would still like to keep writing about Blizzcon. I guess it’s old news now, but I’d still like to do an article about Warlords or Draenor. I recently started playing World of Warcraft and luckily I logged in tonight since it was WoW’s 9 year anniversary. If you log in, you get this item in all your character’s mailboxes that gives you 9% bonus XP while you have it active. You also get an achievement/Feat of Strength for being logged in during the anniversary. I also have my boyfriend half convinced to play WoW with my again, so maybe I’ll keep this subscription up for at least two months.
Another feature for the blog I’d like to do is a theme week. I’ve been thinking about doing a week (5 posts per week) on Japan related things such as anime, Japanese video games, toys, conventions, manga, food, etc. I pretty much have my entire blog focused on Western geek culture and I would really like to branch out. I’ve been trying to watch every episode of Kill La Kill, Attack of the Titans, and Sword Art Online. I’m also thinking about buying Dragon’s Crown when I go to Target tomorrow. I’m trying to find out if Dragon’s Crown is same console co-op, which brings me to my next idea… Co-op Love Week! This is something I really have my heart set on doing and something I can get my boyfriend involved with. We pretty much don’t play any of the same games at all, plus he just started a new job and he’s been out of town for the past two weeks. So, I’d like to spend a whole week dedicated to things geeky couples can do together that don’t involve just watching superhero movies and Big Bang Theory together.
Something I had planned on doing this week but didn’t is stream on Twitch and make some YouTube videos. The Twitch part is the easy part. I’ve done it before, but I’m bad at talking while I play. I have one video on my Twitch account where I played Dragon Age Origins on PC and I was very silent the whole time. I wanted to work on videos this week because I have the whole house to myself, since we boarded the dogs on Saturday. I set up my bedroom to look pretty cool as a backdrop if I wanted to do a YouTube video, but the hard part is creating content. I thought it was going to be easy, but I can’t think of anything at all to make a video about.
That’s about it for the update. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I’m making this blog a lot more personal and not just dry articles about game reviews and news. So, if that’s your thing, keep reading. If not, go to IGN. I’m just kidding. I’ll definitely be working on writing up some info on Warlords of Draenor, my Target haul tomorrow (because I feel like I’m going to spend a lot of money), some Anime stuff, and things Geeky Couples can do together. I’m pretty excited about it!
