Turns out there’s a lot going on with the Xbox One today. The console launches in a couple weeks, so enjoy your brand new information.
I just found out how the Xbox One is going to handle Battlefield 4 with the Kinect. The Kinect is going to track your head movements and mirror them on your character. So, every time you move your head, the camera in the game will move. That will effect where your character is looking, how you aim, and how well you stay in cover. Voice commands will be present as well. You can call out for medical assistance, more ammo, and for transportation.
Also, Microsoft is showing us how easy it will be to redeem codes on the Xbox Live. You want to know how I do it? I rummage around my entire house to find my Xbox chat pad, cram it in the ass end of my controller, and type in the billion character code. It looks like with the Xbox One, all you have to do is wave it in front of your TV and the Kinect sensor will enter it for you.
I’ve also noticed on Twitter, a bunch of people bragging about their free Xbox One consoles or getting the free to play Killer Instinct completely unlocked. This is a real thing, according to Microsoft. They rewarded people who have been with Xbox Live pretty much since it was new, with completely unlocked copes of Killer Instinct, and some lucky ones got free consoles. The free consoles when to Microsoft’s MVPs. These are people with the highest gamerscores and the longest running subscriptions to Xbox Live. I know I should have cared more about achievements. I guess it’s time to pick up a copy of Avatar: The Last Airbender!
