I got my Loot Crate yesterday and this month’s theme is “Survive.” For those of you who don’t know what a Loot Crate is, it’s a subscription box you get once a month that is filled with nerd/geek culture items. Typically, most of what Loot Crate sends you are things you can buy off of ThinkGeek, if you need an example. You pay $20 a month including shipping, and you generally get a t-shirt every other month, lots of toys, candy, and stickers.
Each Loot Crate has a theme, and this month’s was “Survive.” They usually announce the theme a couple weeks before it ships so you can sit around and guess what you’re going to get. Because that’s what I do with my spare time. This month was an easy guess, because all the products were zombie-releated. Now, I’m not zombie crazy, but I really loved this box. So, look at my pictures and I’ll tell you why…
The box had a shirt, that’s why! Loot Crates with shirts in them are the best. You get a shirt every other month, which is great, because you get your $20 worth in one item. Call me crazy, but this makes my second Ewok shirt. I cannot believe I am a person who owns two shirts with Ewoks on them, but they are so cute! Here’s a close-up of “Ewoking Dead.”
The shirt is from GraphicLab and the box also had a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $15 or more.
This is probably the coolest card ever and I hope I get a Valentine’s card like this someday! This card is probably one of my favorite items in the box. The inside says, “Your brains are nice too!” You can get more cards like it on OpenMe.com.
I don’t know if the shirt, the card, or this book are my favorite items in this Loot Crate, but they are definitely my top 3. I’ve always wanted to read this book and in the past few years, I haven’t bought hardly any physical books because of my iPad. This is great because I can take it to work and read it if I have downtime.
These are some of the random small items that were in the crate. On the top left is an ID card that says you’re a Zombie Hunter. It’s the same material as a credit card. On the top right is the Monthly Candy. I can’t eat blueberry, though. On the bottom are some really cute pins with 8-bit zombie killing items on them.
This is another cool item that deserves an honorable mention, so I’ll call it my number 4 favorite. It’s two temporary tattoos. The top one is a zombie bite and the bottom one is a barcode that says you’re infection free. Sorry for stating the obvious. Since I have to work on Halloween night and my job requires a uniform, I can still be festive and wear the zombie bite tattoo to work. SInce I’m a nurse, I bet I’ll get a lot of questions and strange looks.
Here’s a look at everything. Even though I’m not much of a zombie freak, I’m going to give this Loot Crate an A. It had an awesome shirt in it that I’m already wearing, a book I’ve been meaning to read for years and a card that made me feel loved. Thank you, Loot Crate!!!
Awesome unboxing you have here!! Can you do one on Fandora’s Box?? http://www.fandorasbox.com Thanks 🙂
